Beverly Rector: Osage trust clerk

Beverly Ann Rector passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009 in the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was 83 years old.

Beverly was born July 23, 1926 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, the daughter of Walter and Minnie (Bighorse) Boren. A member of the Osage Tribe of Indians, Beverly worked as the receptionist and trust clerk for the Osage Nation from March 25, 1991 to May 19, 2004.

Surviving are: Her son: Charles Arthur Rector; Her sister: Marion Cass; Her grandchildren: Deanna Rector, Karen Rector Red Eagle, Charlie Rector Riddle; Great grandchildren: Cade Rector Red Eagle, Treyton Rector Red Eagle, Matthew Rector, and August, River, Charles Ryan and Jonathan Riddle; Numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

The rosary was recited on Sunday, November 1 at 7 p.m., at the Indian Camp Chapel with Father Chris Daigle officiating. Traditional Indian services were held Monday, November 2, at 8 a.m., also at the Indian Camp Chapel. Eddy Red Eagle officiated. Mass followed at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Father Chris Daigle officiated. Interment was in the Pawhuska City Cemetery.
