My name is Justin Mays (Xu-ah Wa-kon-ta)
I am of the Strikeaxe family, who have always been active in Tribal government from the time of Chief Strikeaxe to the present day. My grandmother, Norma Jean Mays, was secretary to Chief Sylvester Tinker and also Chief George Tall Chief.
My parents, Paul & Marcella Mays, along with my brother, P.J. Mays have been in business in Osage County for 27 years. As a teenager, my first job was in the family business.
My wife, Lisa is an R.N., we have two children, J.P. and Morgan. We reside in western Osage County. I currently operate two businesses in Ponca City and coach youth football. As a person who has participated in team sports, I feel that teamwork is a key to achievement.
Our Nation has evolved into a multifaceted business and should be governed by people who are skilled in making cautious, informed business decisions & decisions geared to benefit ALL members.
We have some good, workable proposals before Congress that can be Implemented with dedication and initiative by those willing to work together. An effective representative is always attentive to the input of concerned tribal members.
My goal is to assist our Nation to perform as business with attention to performance accountability for each position held.
Our Congress needs teamwork for the Nation to advance
You can be a part of this movement. Join with me to move our Nation forward and VOTE!
Sincerely,
Justin Mays
