By James Timothy Schooling, Candidate for Osage Nation Minerals Council
I am married to Nancy L. Schooling and we have two daughters: Tracy Lynn Schooling Furman of Great Falls, VA and Dana Renea Compton of Glenpool, OK. we have two grandchildren, Max and Anastasia Furman.
I have two brothers and one sister who, along with me, are all mineral interest owners.
I have worked in the Oil & Gas Industry for more than forty years in all capacities. I started out working for Black Gold Logging & Perforating as a Rig Hand. I worked for Cities Services Oil & Gas/Occidental Oil & Gas Co. for 29 years in various positions such as Clerical, Supervisory and Special Projects in Operations, Production and Natural Gas Liquids accounting. I was responsible for millions of dollars in assets. After the company moved, I worked for Brighton Energy, LLC as Marketing and Contract Manager until the company was sold and I retired.
If elected to the Minerals Council, I would work to the full extent of my experience and ability to maximize the Mineral Accounts for all the shareholders. I believe I could make a great difference in all areas of the Minerals Council.
Mission Statement
I will work with the Minerals Council to assure that regulations are being met for all minerals being extracted and that every cubic foot of gas and barrel of oil and any other minerals are being accounted for properly. I will work to ensure audits, whether in the field or office are being done on a regular basis so that mineral recipients are being paid their amount due. Knowing that fossil fuels are finite, we must manage our resources with due diligence so that in the future, our heirs will have a resource income from the minerals estate.
