The 22nd Special Session of the Osage Nation Congress has adjourned until 2 p.m.

Principal Chief Jim Gray and Congress Speaker Archie Mason delivered addresses on behalf of their offices during the 10 a.m. session. Both focused their speeches on the Nation’s yet-to-be-approved 2010 fiscal year budget.

An emergency appropriation bill which authorizes government operations to continue through Jan. 8 is on the agenda. Mason is the bill sponsor.

At the close of Mason’s address, he stated the Congress was in receipt of some new information that needs to be reviewed.

The congressional members then voted unanimously to adjourn until 2 p.m.
