A Diverse People

We were of the
Sun and Sky
the Thunder and Stars
the Streams and the Earth

Ancient Osages
People of the Buffalo, the Deer,
Eagle and Hawk
finding Order in diversity of Clans

from that Order the People learned
a way of
a system of
living together

on Earth

Ancient Osages were admirable People, as were their descendants of more recent time, those who were only a generation or two removed from those People we were privileged to know.   By observing the Earth and its Earth Creatures the Ancients learned to live on this Earth. Today, many People struggle, trying hard to learn a way of how to live on Earth.

Today, we as their descendants are better because of what they did with what they learned.

We have been told of many human qualities those Ancients left to our more recent ancestors.  Human traits such as compassion for those in sorrow, taking time to see and to ask of them how they are doing. 

Sharing with those who are in need. Adoption of those ones who are without family to care for them.

We have all known those older People who had learned to live those qualities, and we admired them.
