WahZhaZhe Health Center hosting Jan. 23 COVID-19 vaccine event for patients age 55 and older

The Osage Nation Health Services WahZhaZhe Health Center is hosting a drive-through COVID-19 vaccination event for patients and eligible patients age 55 and older on Saturday, Jan. 23 in Pawhuska.

The vaccine injections will be given to patients at the Osage Nation Civic Center (formally the ON Cultural Center) at 1449 W. Main St. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The drive-through event site is the Civic Center parking lot where patients will not be required to leave their vehicles. After receiving the vaccine shot, patients will be directed to another area to remain for an observation period of at least 15 minutes before leaving the site.

Individuals who are eligible WZZHC patients are Osages and other Native Americans who have a Certificate Degree of Indian Blood and/or have proof they are members of any federally-recognized tribe, according to the clinic.

All patients getting vaccinated at the drive-through event will need to have an updated active health chart at the WZZHC. Patients and individuals needing to establish a chart or to update (reactivate) their charts can access the ONHS "New Patient Application" online using the following link: https://s3.amazonaws.com/osagenation-nsn.gov/files/departments/WZZ-Health-Center/2021_0107_ONHS_WZZHC_New_Patient_Application.pdf
