Oklahoma now has Sprouts stores in Oklahoma City, Norman, Bixby and Edmond

The Osage Limited Liability Company sold 41,277 shares it owned in natural food store chain Sprouts Farmers Market when the chain went public and began trading on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange on Aug. 1.

The result: a profit of $684,054, according to an LLC news release.

The two casinos are set to open by Christmas Day

PONCA CITY, Okla. – Osage Nation officials and Osage Manhattan Builders employees celebrated reaching a milestone in the construction of the Ponca City Casino and Hotel.

They hosted a Topping Out Ceremony May 24 at the construction site, located off of Highway 60 on 73 North City View Road. The topping out ceremony marks the last beam to be placed on the structure to ‘top out.’

LLC plans to pursue government contracts using its 8(a)-certified subsidies

The Osage Limited Liability Company is receiving $2.6 million to fund its 2013 operations. The Third ON Congress approved an LLC capital contribution bill during the third special session.

LLC representatives told Congress the entity planned to use its 8(a)-certified entities to pursue government contracting opportunities in making its case for a capital contribution. This is the first capital contribution approved for the LLC operating with two first-time board members appointed and confirmed during the Tzi-Zho Session in September.

Third Special Session set for Dec. 3; Congress to consider appropriation for the LLC

Two certified accountants are now serving on the Osage Limited Liability Company (LLC) Board after the Third Osage Nation Congress confirmed both men on Sept. 10 for three-year terms.

Jim Parris (Osage) and David Stewart appeared before the Congressional body for confirmation interviews before the votes that day. Both men have certified accounting credentials and bring years of professional finance experience to the LLC board which launched in 2009.

ON government to seek buyer for the Fairfax store; Chief Red Eagle appoints two men to LLC board

The Osage Limited Liability Company is returning ownership of the Palace of the Osage grocery store in Fairfax to the Osage Nation government as efforts continue to sell the building.

The Palace grocery housed the city’s sole food store.

The LLC transferred the title on July 5 and notified the Osage Nation Congress, the Osage News learned.

“This arrangement will create more options for the tribe to sell the grocery store,” said Osage Nation Principal Chief John Red Eagle in a release issued July 9.

Charles Maker and Howard “Skip” Iba ask to be withdrawn from reconfirmation by the ON Congress; Chief Red Eagle to appoint two new board members

Two seats on the Osage Limited Liability Company’s Board of Directors are vacant after Charles Maker and Howard “Skip” Iba stepped down from the board.

Maker and Iba, who were first appointed and confirmed for three-year LLC board terms in 2009, were up for reconfirmation during this year’s Hun-Kah Session, which ends Thursday April 19.

LLC board and staff to deliver annual report on April 11

The Osage Limited Liability Company survived a Congressional bill vote aimed at dissolving the entity during the March 23 Osage Nation Congressional session.

Amid concerns from some Congress members over the LLC’s reported money loses and number of Osages currently hired under the entity’s structure, the Nation’s economic development entity will continue operating, but its status and performance will be revisited next month. The LLC is slated to present an annual report to ON government officials with a Congressional meeting set for April 11.

Congressman Standing Bear cites LLC money losses and number of hired Osage employees among reasons for filing bill ONCA 12-29; Congress votes to send ONCA 12-29 to General Order

A legislative bill filed by Osage Nation Congressman Geoffrey Standing Bear seeks to dissolve the Osage Limited Liability Company over concerns the LLC has lost “millions of dollars” and has only three Osage employees since its 2008 launch.

Standing Bear introduced the bill, ONCA 12-29, on Day One of the 2012 Hun-Kah Congressional Session March 19. After discussion, the 10 Congress members present voted to advance the bill to General Order for further Congressional consideration.

Osage LLC plans to market store to potential buyers

The Palace Grocery store may have a new owner in March.

The store is being auctioned March 6 on the stairs of the Osage County Courthouse after the property was foreclosed on. In the meantime, the Osage LLC plans to market the store to potential buyers in hope a reputable buyer will come forth, said Chuck Maker, Osage LLC Chairman.

On Dec. 16, construction crews put the finishing touches on the first phase of renovating the Sand Springs casino, which includes a new lounge area and a renovated high stakes playing area.

Osage LLC will begin process of looking for new buyer

The Palace of the Osage grocery store is closing but the Osage LLC is not going to let it close permanently.

Osage LLC Board President, Charles Maker, said in a phone interview that the Osage LLC will actively begin looking for a new buyer in the near future once current owner Rick Parker closes down the store.

Project plans includes new VIP lounge, dance floor; Gaming enterprise is now Osage Casino

The Osage Manhattan Builders construction firm has been selected to manage a renovation project at the Sand Springs Osage Casino slated to begin in September.

When completed, the casino will have a new bar, dance floor, new deli/ kitchen area and a VIP lounge. Brock Eubanks, the operations manager for OMB said the renovation would also include new carpeting, walls so “it will look like a totally different facility.”

Executive Branch sees need for growth; Osage Casino central offices also at facility

The Osage Nation has announced it will assume control of the Tulsa Airpark, which was previously managed by the Osage Limited Liability Company.

A statement from Principal Chief John Red Eagle says the transfer decision “was made to provide room for expansion in several governmental programs and the tribe’s gaming operation.”

The Osage Limited Liability Company is conducting a feasibility study to determine if it will ultimately accept the $2.5 million appropriation for The American bronze statue project.

In a statement posted to the LLC’s Web site May 6, LLC CEO Carol Leese said: “the company is currently in the process of going through its due diligence and conducting a feasibility study. Osage LLC board of directors approval also must be obtained before the LLC moves forward with acceptance of the appropriation.”

Project official: ‘The American will be built’; ON Congress passed appropriation bill April 15

Plans for the long-publicized bronze statue of a Native American warrior and eagle titled “The American” are unclear after the Osage LLC declined to participate in a land purchase and investment opportunity. Listed in an appropriation bill passed by the Second ON Congress, the $2.5 million appropriation was for a 21-story statue which would exceed the height of the Statue of Liberty in New York.
