OMDE sponsors Pawhuska baseball

A new banner and $800 sponsorship was given to the Huskies

The Pawhuska baseball team has a new banner in the outfield.

At the beginning of the baseball season the Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino presented the team with an $800 sponsorship and banner at Pawhuska High School baseball field.

Pawhuska coach Brandon Poteet said he and some parents wrote up a grant, submitted their application for sponsorship and received the funds about three weeks ago.

He said the sponsorship has helped with the funding necessary to run the baseball program.

Osage Million Dollar Elm wins national marketing award

The casino is the first Oklahoma tribal gaming enterprise to win the Barona/ VCAT Award

The Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino has won a national Excellence in Indian Gaming Marketing award for 2010.

OMDEC is the first tribal gaming property in Oklahoma to win the Barona/VCAT Award for Excellence in Indian Gaming Marketing, according to a news release. The award was presented during the 13th Annual Raving Consulting National Marketing Conference near Palm Springs, Calif. held Jan. 30-Feb. 1.

The popular comic who appears on “The Daily Show” and hosts Comedy Central television specials will perform live at 7 p.m., Friday, September 17, at the Osage Event Center.
