Road crews reopen 39 Hill road to Bartlesville Osage Casino

County road access to the casino from U.S. 60 now closed for improvement work

Road crews reopened the Bartlesville Osage Casino access off State Highway 123 after it closed earlier this year for construction improvements. The north-south county road access between the casino and U.S. 60 is now closed due for needed bridge repairs.    

A one-mile section of County Road 2706 – commonly referred to as “39 Hill” – officially opened Oct. 11 after extensive improvements made by the Osage Nation Transportation Department and Osage County workers. The road was closed in early March for the improvement work.

ON Congress pass seven bills, resolutions on last day of third Special Session

Congress votes down amending the Gaming Reform Act, passes $25,000 supplemental appropriation for OK Tax Commission lawsuit

The Second Osage Nation Congress ended its third Special Session on Nov. 12 by passing five bills and two resolutions. A bill seeking to modify the Nation’s Gaming Reform Act regarding litigation and legal matters was also voted down before Congress adjourned.

ONCA 11-02 (sponsored by Congressman Mark Simms) is “an act to provide for protections to the Osage Nation on legal matters of Osage gaming” which failed with seven “no” votes over five “yes” votes.
