The Osage Nation Counseling Center will be having events throughout the month of October

Daily Oklahoman editorial calls Chief Gray ‘radical’ and said Gray could close down highways in Osage county and deny services to non-Osage community

 The U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments in the Nation’s case against the Oklahoma Tax Commission Jan. 11. A timeline was not given as to when the appeals court will issue a ruling.

“The state [of Oklahoma] is trying to put tribal sovereignty on trial,” said Osage Principal Chief Jim Gray at a Jan. 12 all employee meeting at the Wah Zha Zhi Cultural Center. “The only entity under the sun that can disestablish the Osage Reservation is the United States Congress.”

Some 'humiliated' by discovering their names on list of non-Osage shareholders

Some shareholders expressed shock and disappointment when their names or names of deceased relatives appeared on the Fletcher v. USA complaint filed in Federal District Court in Tulsa June 12.

The complaint contained a list of 1,747 names of individuals, churches, colleges, institutions and organizations that Fletcher attorneys allege are in illegal possession of Osage mineral shares because of their non-Osage status.
